Staged by Design® was founded in 2007 by Owner and Principal Designer, Leigh Newport, ASP, IAHSP, RESA.

Leigh and her team have staged over $550,000,000 in Real Estate since beginning the company in 2007, reflecting an overall Days on Market Average of 23. 

Leigh discovered Home Staging as a career in 2005 when the home her family was selling was professionally Staged, and then sold for $25,000 above asking price, just 9 days after listing. Leigh’s love for interior design, experience with re-design and décor projects, her keen eye for aesthetics, and mind for dollars will add to your equity! Prior to Home Staging, Leigh spent a long career as a hospitality and training professional for Marriott International.

Leigh has served on the Board of Directors for the Washington, DC Chapter of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP®), for three years, including the Office of President, and is currently a member of both IAHSP® and(RESA® (Real Estate Staging Association). She is a sought after public speaker, committed to educating home owners and Realtors alike on the benefits of Home Staging through seminars and other engagements throughout the Washington, DC Metro area.

Recent company accolades include being selected as “Best of Houzz”, Customer Service Category 2013-2017.

Staged by Design® has been voted “Best of Loudoun” by the readers of both the Loudoun Times Mirror and Leesburg Today for both 2015, 2016 and 2017.

In the past, Staged by Design® was a Finalist for the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Award, Service category, in addition being a three time nominee. Staged by Design’s work has been featured in the Washington Post and numerous other local media outlets.

Leigh is a member of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, the Dulles Area Association of Realtors, the International Association of Home Staging Professionals (IAHSP®), and the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA®).  Leigh and her family live in Loudoun County, Virginia.

 

 

  Elizabeth Moseley, ASP, Lead Stager

Elizabeth is an Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) who began staging in 2013. Elizabeth’s natural gift of coordinating furnishings and colors meant she was destined to be in the interior decorating and staging industry. She brings a unique style to our team that incorporates eclectic and purposeful design. Elizabeth’s background includes studies at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and as well as previous experience as an interior decorator and color consultant.  As a Lead Stager, her role includes client consultations and leading staging projects both occupied and vacant.

 

 

 

 

Wendy Palmer, Inventory/Facility Manager, Administrative Assistant

Wendy provides us with  many years of experience as a Retail Operations and Management Professional in the Washington DC area. Her extensive background in retail logistics and inventory control is a tremendous asset in her role as Administrative Assistant and Inventory/Facility Manager, and helps to keep our projects running smoothly. She also takes the lead with our de-staging projects, assists staging projects as an organizational assistant, and also maintains the company’s systems and procedures.
